Sweet Dreams are made of these

Have you ever been asked "how did you sleep?" and the question is returned with the answer "no not great I was having a dream".  Dreams are only thoughts you didn't have time to think about during the day.  Maybe you are a person that can recount a dream fully and your dreams are vivid and clear, while others seldom have the ability to recall that which they have dreamt.  But usually, for all of us, you are never eighty in your dreams.  Dreams have singular purpose and meaning in our lives and they certainly can come true because without that possibility nature would not incite us to have them.  We all have them from time to time and no matter whether they can be regained fully or not, dreams are there to prompt us and guide us and even encourage us.  They do not occur merely when we go to sleep at night and awaken the next day to recall something that happened in our dream and wonder how this could be meaningful to our life.  Dreams happen when we are awake as well and we begin to ponder ideas and thoughts, which we want to achieve.  A dream becomes a goal, when action is taken towards its achievement.  It is important to have both goals and dreams, but too often people say that you may be able to achieve your goals, but dreams are a fantasy, which cannot be achieved in real terms.  I attended an art exhibition today by Nathan Sawaya where he started as a lawyer just going home at night and starting to build with Lego pieces as a means of fulfilling a yearning or dream and this persisted, until he actually began to create art with the Lego, building some of the most lifelike and real art pieces.  In order to realise his dream, he focused not so much on the success of it but rather on the significance of it and so even the small steps and little victories along his path began to take on greater meaning, until today where, he is able to build pieces of more than 80 000 blocks.  Even the most obscure dreams can be converted into real and measurable goals and with the right encouragement and a little bit of luck, we may truly reach that which we have wanted for a long time.  Live your dreams don't just have them.
